Human Resources Business Partner - Employee Relations

This person will report to the Human Resources Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with leadership on organizational and people-related strategy to develop programs focusing on retention, engagement, recognition, and talent management; continuously build and nurture these relationships to establish trust and credibility with both senior leadership and employees throughout the organization.
Provide day-to-day employee management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Thoroughly understand the organization’s industry, market, and its specific business goals and challenges; take the time to learn the intricacies of the business, including its product, services, and competitive landscape.
Use data to inform HR strategies and initiatives; collect and analyze HR metrics to make informed decisions that drive improvements in employee productivity, satisfaction, and retention.
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Collaborate with the payroll department to address and resolve employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to line management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Provide project management expertise through the initiation, management, and driving of strategic projects and initiatives and change management.
Partner with the Learning and Development team to develop managers and team training focused on development, culture, and career progression.
Proactively administer HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct meetings with respective business units at regularly scheduled cadence.
Facilitate discussions when HRBPs find issues, propose solutions, and refine processes.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

4-7 years of HRBP experience with at least 2 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, worker’s compensation, employee benefits, and HR compliance.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential preferred, but not required.
UKG experience is a plus.
