RMC is hiring a Human Resource Specialist to support our customer at NSWC Indian Head, in Indian Head, MD. The selected applicant shall provide professional assistance to managers and employees in various personnel areas of human resources to include: recruitment, job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, employee benefits, labor relations, and employee relations. Tasks include:

Inputting/extracting/compiling information in/from various data systems, preparing and routing personnel actions, assisting managers with writing performance objectives/expectations, position descriptions, and addendums.
Preparing career ladder requirements for the different job series in the office, preparing and updating letters and correspondence with proper grammar and formatting following guidance outlined in the Navy Correspondence Manual.
Creating and maintaining multiple appointments, meeting requests, and calendars in Microsoft Outlook.
Copying and filing, scanning documents, answering phone calls and visitors appropriately, or taking messages as necessary.
Assisting specialists within the office on human resources-related tasks.

An Associate's degree in human resources, management, business administration, or other relevant fields. Two (2) years of recent experience in analyzing, managing, and improving major aspects of human resources, organizational processes, and functions, with a minimum of one (1) year in a Federal Agency environment. The selected applicant must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of DoD and Navy processes, specifically related to Human Resources, is preferred.

Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $55,000 to $65,000 (annually).
