The Human Resource Manager position works onsite in our Santa Clara, California headquarters. This role reports to the Senior Director of Administration. Key metrics for success in this role include managing the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, being the escalation point of contact for employees, conducting new hire onboarding and orientation, ongoing employee training, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and oversee the HR workflow together with subordinate staff
- Develop and monitor overall HR systems, initiatives, and procedures across the organization. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including JD review and candidates sourcing plan.
- Manage and conduct employee on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
- Manage HR documentation system including employee records, training documentation, etc.
- Select appropriate training programs from creditable sources and cascade within the company
- Implement a Performance Evaluation system that drives outstanding performance.
- Lead investigations, employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
- Nurture a positive working environment. Build employee relations by addressing their needs and grievances together with clients and other stakeholders.
- Support business needs through talent development, contingency planning, and succession planning
- Maintains legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Engage with local unions to resolve employee grievances and practically resolve issues.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager
- People-oriented and results-driven.
- In-depth knowledge of HR systems, databases, and metrics, as well as labor laws and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all company levels.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish: A Plus
- Repetitive lifting is required with or without reasonable accommodation.
- A valid California Driver's License is required for this position.
Compensation Range $70,000 - $90,000 annually
Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
