Accredited Labs is a fast-growing company on an exciting journey of acquisition and expansion, and we are looking for an HR Generalist to join our small but mighty HR team. This role is ideal for someone eager to roll up their sleeves, learn, and grow alongside us as we scale our organization.
As an HR Generalist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting employees, refining processes, and ensuring our HR operations run smoothly. This role will report into the Human Resource Manager.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings. Resolve payroll discrepancies and promptly respond to employee inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Compliance and Organization: Maintain and deliver accurate and confidential employee records and documentation, from attendance and disciplinary actions to FMLA, leave of absence, and I-9 compliance. Your attention to detail will ensure we’re always aligned with regulations and best practices.
- Employee Engagement: Serve as the first line of engagement for employee requests, providing support and answers with a friendly, professional approach.
- Handbook Ownership: Take charge of maintaining and updating the employee handbook, ensuring policies remain compliant and aligned with company culture and multiple states.
- Process Improvement: Help formalize and streamline HR processes, contributing to a more efficient and scalable HR function.
- Onboarding: Own the employee onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from offer acceptance to their first day. Experience onboarding employees in bulk is a plus.
- Project Juggling: Balance multiple priorities and projects with poise, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in an HR role, with exposure to employee records, onboarding, and compliance preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and basic understanding of employment laws.
- A "can-do" attitude with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Be proactive, forward-thinking, and question everything in a positive, inquisitive manner.
- Desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
