Hackman Capital Partners, LLC seeks a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team!
In this position, the Senior HR Generalist will be a partner to the VP, Human Resources on a variety of tasks and operations including HR Department administration, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, employee relations, performance management, payroll, onboarding, and benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide project management support to plan, track, communicate and ensuring on-time implementation of key HR programs such as performance evaluation, employee engagement, and professional development.
- Conducts new hire onboarding and orientation, talent development, employee relations, time and attendance, PIPs, accommodation requests, etc.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Process payroll functions including time and attendance tracking.
- Perform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification, benefit billing, commission reports and payroll information
- Maintain and audit employee records for data accuracy, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements (e.g., personnel information, organization charts, background checks, employment authorization data, employee relations, etc.)
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Own administrative processes and tasks of the HR Department including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and other duties that may be assigned to meet business needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience with HR Generalist functions and broad-based HR knowledge in onboarding/ offboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and HRIS
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and application of state and federal employment laws and ability to research law changes
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience with and solid working knowledge of HRIS systems and programs (Paycom)
- Critical thinking and solutions-orientation
- Comfortable with complex problems, requiring ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
- Demonstrated use of excellent judgment initiative within defined HR policies
- Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality; strong sense of professional integrity and judgment
- Exceptional attention to detail
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- A minimum of six years (6+) HR Generalist experience is required
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred
- HR certification a plus
Salary Range: $90 - 100k Annual, plus bonus
