We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Education - University industry. Based in St Louis Earnings Tx, Missouri, the HR Assistant will be an integral part of our team, providing administrative support, assisting with recruitment tasks, and managing data.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment tasks such as prescreening candidates and setting up interviews.
- Schedule appointments for the hiring manager as necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering inbound calls and inquiries.
- Develop and maintain fillable PDF forms using Adobe and MS Word.
- Utilize MS Excel for data management tasks.
- Execute mail merge tasks as required.
- Familiarize with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline recruitment processes.
- Manage college recruiting initiatives.
- Ensure accurate customer credit records are maintained.
- Process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience in college recruiting, managing and coordinating recruitment processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to answer inquiries and inbound calls professionally and efficiently.
- Proficiency in using Office Suite applications, particularly in executing mail merge tasks.
- Experience in handling PDF documents, including editing, converting, and merging files.
- Knowledge of human resources procedures and policies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with HR software and databases will be advantageous.
- Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills in the HR field.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
