GA Rogers & Associates has partnered with our Portsmouth, Rhode Island client who is seeking a strategic and results-oriented HR Leader to join their dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative HR strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent, all while ensuring compliance and driving business goals.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with the organization's strategic objectives and ensure a talent pipeline that supports growth.
- Lead the recruitment function, from developing best practices for interviewing and hiring to overseeing a seamless onboarding experience for new employees across all locations.
- Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and proactively communicating talent management challenges and opportunities to General Managers.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing and effectively communicating updated HR policies and procedures to all staff members.
- Provide expert guidance and support to General Managers in managing employee relations, including progressive discipline and termination processes.
- Oversee all aspects of employee benefits, including compensation, FMLA, OSHA compliance, stay interviews, and training programs.
- Be a champion for compliance by ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Cultivate a culture of employee engagement and development through staff wellness initiatives and performance review processes.
- Design and oversee training programs that equip employees with the skills and capabilities necessary to achieve organizational goals.
Who You Are:
- A HR professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing or service environment with expertise in managing highly specialized trade employees.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for HR and a proven track record of driving positive change within organizations.
- An excellent communicator with the ability to connect with employees at all levels and build strong relationships.
- A legal savant with in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment-related labor laws and business requirements.
- A proactive and resourceful individual who stays up-to-date on evolving regulations and possesses exceptional problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
