Terri is a visionary senior executive and business leader with 25 years of experience leading luxury brands' profitable growth in the retail industry and a consistent track record of delivering on desired strategic outcomes and creating organizational/customer value. Her expertise in strategy creation, brand building, long term planning, business development & infrastructure enhancement informs all of her work.
In 2018, Terri Eagle took over as CEO of Morilee, bringing experience from leading roles at fashion brands including David Yurman and Tom Hardy. Under her leadership, Morilee has experienced innovation and growth and expanded to luxury bridal wear. As Eagle explained during a June 2024 Glossy Podcast, the brand is continuously evolving to meet the needs of modern brides while honoring the brand’s rich heritage. Most recently, that’s included launching new product categories and updating the in-store try-on experience.

Objective of the Role:
Our new HR Director will be pivotal in partnering the Morilee leadership team towards a new era of HR excellence, transitioning from outsourced HR management to an in-house model that aligns with the company’s values and strategic goals. With about 100 employees and offices in Boca Raton and NYC, this newly created role and has been crafted for an individual passionate about shaping and implementing modern HR operations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and leading HR initiatives that support and enhance the organization’s culture and effectiveness. The role will require a unique combination of both tactical and strategic leadership capabilities in order to effectively translate HR acumen in a bespoke manner that will be unique to the Morilee culture. This leader will consistently be seeking to build an HR function that is simple, scalable, and sustainable – thoughtfully aligning talent to drive value creation.
Ideal Profile:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Sr. HR Manager or Director level HR professional with a strategic mindset and hands-on experience in managing HR operations within the fashion or related industries. They should possess a deep understanding of payroll and benefits, labor laws, and modern HR practices, coupled with the ability to work independently as a sole contributor. This person thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and is adept at balancing strategic HR leadership with day-to-day operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition from outsourced to in-house HR management, establishing “right-sized” HR operations, policies, and procedures
- Manage the weekly Payroll process
- Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of employee relations, including overtime management, 401k administration, and annual performance reviews.
- Renegotiate health benefits and other employee perks, aiming for enhancements aligned with the company’s culture and employees' needs.
- Adopt and implement modern HR practices that support the company’s objectives and promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Report directly to the CEO, serving as a key advisor on all HR matters and contributing to strategic decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or director/director equivalent level role
- Experience and passion within the fashion industry or a related creative sector would be an extremely valuable asset and is not a requirement – but strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in transitioning HR operations from outsourced to in-house models.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating employee benefits and managing comprehensive HR programs.
- Proficient understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels within the organization.
Work Location Requirements:
- Ability to work 4 days from the Boca Raton office and 1 day remotely, with a commitment to travel to NYC for 2 days per month.
- Conversely: Ability to work 4 days from the NYC office and 1 day remotely, with a commitment to travel to Boca Raton for 2 days per month.
- No other versions of hybrid will be considered.
