Our client, a leading multinational company, is seeking a seasoned Director of Human Resources to lead and manage their global HR strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the HR department and HR business partners. Collaborate with senior management on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
- HR Operations: Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and hiring processes. Ensure the seamless implementation of HR policies and practices across the organization.
- Compliance and Legal Oversight: Maintain a thorough understanding of union, labor, and employment laws to ensure full compliance with internal policies and legal standards, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other regulations. Proactively manage risk to avoid litigation and other potential losses.
- Employee Relations and Development: Guide HR business partners in managing employee relations, resolving grievances, and fostering a positive work environment. Develop competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and incentive programs to retain top talent.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor organizational success and market competitiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs) and other business metrics. Drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Trend Analysis and Innovation: Stay informed about global HR trends and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the industry. Leverage advanced HR management software to streamline operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years in human resource management, with significant experience in strategic planning, talent management, and business development.
- Leadership and Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong leadership and organizational abilities. Adept at managing interpersonal conflicts and resolving issues effectively.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in supervisory roles and complex problem-solving.
- Legal and Compliance Expertise: Deep knowledge of labor relations, union laws, international HR processes, employment legislation, and compliance regulations.
- HR Operations Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and policy formulation for hiring, termination, and retention.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the latest HR management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). A digital thought leader with a strong social media presence, especially on LinkedIn.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of business analysis techniques and experience in budget preparation and fiscal management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional HR Certifications, such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
