Job Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and onboarding new employees. This role requires a deep understanding of recruitment strategies, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers. The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization attracts and hires top talent to meet its staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities - Recruitment Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for open positions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and create detailed job descriptions and specifications.
- Utilize various recruitment methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals, to source potential candidates.
- Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
- Proactively source candidates through online platforms, industry events, and networking opportunities.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
- Interviewing and Selection:
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on interview techniques and best practices.
- Assist in the decision-making process by providing recommendations and insights on candidates.
- Candidate Experience:
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by maintaining clear and timely communication.
- Provide candidates with detailed information about the company, the role, and the recruitment process.
- Manage the offer process, including salary negotiation and reference checks, to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.
- Onboarding:
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they have a positive and engaging introduction to the company.
- Prepare and manage new hire documentation, including offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding materials.
- Work closely with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and effective onboarding experience for new employees.
- Employer Branding:
- Promote the company's brand as an employer of choice through various channels, including social media, job fairs, and networking events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as universities, industry associations, and recruitment agencies.
- Create and distribute content that highlights the company's culture, values, and employee experience.
- Data and Analytics:
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate source effectiveness.
- Prepare reports and presentations on recruitment activity and outcomes for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Assist in the preparation of required compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other regulatory filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Proven ability to source and attract top talent through various channels.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technology platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
