The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day Human Resources functionalities including administering health and welfare benefits, managing leaves of absences, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws. An extreme sense of urgency is needed, combined with getting work done in complete, accurate detail and in accordance with company standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Serves as primary contact for benefit plan vendors and third-party administrators
- Oversees health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure
- Implements and supports new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition programs
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and retention.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Perform internal plan audits.
- Supports data entry for employees including new hires, position changes, and compensation changes in UKG and Viewpoint
- Manages and executes annual Benefits Open Enrollment in partnership with HR Manager, including the enrollment processing, facilitating annual benefit meetings, and distributing materials for new hire and annual enrollments.
- Coordinates transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration
- Manages internal Immigration process in partnership with external counsel and HR Manager related to transfers, renewals, etc.
- Manages annual Performance Review process, including the revision and facilitating of annual performance reviews, distributing materials, manager, and employee support.
- Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, etc.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least four years related experience required.
