Job description
As the HSE Manager at XL Pro Staffing and Consulting, you will be the subject matter expert on strategies, programs, and procedures for ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety Health Administration), and warehousing operations under government standards. Directly accountable and responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and administering safety and health policies, programs, and training. Provide expert technical support and ensures compliance with and to all XL Pro Clients, safety and health regulations and standards by deploying a safety program. Ensures expertise of safety and risk issues, develops, and oversees programs, processes, and procedures to control accident and health exposures.
Pay: Salary based 80,000+ DOE

8:00 am to 5:00 pm
What You will Be Doing:
- Shall be directly responsible for the administration, coordination, and management of all workplace injuries and incidents.
- Shall be directly responsible for the administration, coordination and managing Company’s workers compensation insurance program.
- Builds successful business partnerships by effectively communicating with internal customers, including but not limited to, Corporate Safety and Risk Management, Human Resources, Operations, Engineering and all other departments and employees. Establishes exceptional interpersonal relationships with team and others in creation and implementation of a continuous improvement environment. Reports to above groups and individuals on safety issues and performance.
- Mitigates risk exposure by identifying sources of safety and health risk and developing needed programs, policies, and procedures. Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation.
- Serve as a resource to group executives, location management teams, and other department leaders and Safety and Improvement Committees.
- Review, analyze, and understand OSHA standards at an advanced level to ensure all OSHA safe work practices are followed.
- Takes and initiates independent and team action to accomplish goals and objectives while championing the development and advancement of others. Partners with Plant Management, Human Resources and Corporate Safety and Risk Management to deploy and implement the Butterball Safety Process and to maintain facilities OSHA regulations.
- Investigates serious injuries in conjunction with field and staff personnel. Notifies top management of pertinent details. And lead the implementation of safety and health procedures and programs consistent with OSHA regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
- Determine and drive implementation plans for safety, compliance and employee engagement as it relates to safety.
- Provide leadership and direction related to achieving the Safety Vision.
- Conduct, coordinate, and review inspections of assigned facilities to identify potential OSHA compliance issues.
- Review accident/incident investigations and OSHA recordkeeping practices.
- Protects the Company’s employees and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents by directing, implementing, and overseeing the administration of safety, health, security, and key loss prevention programs.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in HSE or related technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HSE program experience at an industrial or manufacturing site.
- Broad knowledge and experience of OSHA.
- Experience developing and implementing HSE Management Systems
- Advanced level of verbal and written communication skills, conflict resolution abilities and group facilitation skills, in English and Spanish.
- Working knowledge of medical protocols.
- Use of computers to communicate, collect and analyze data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Broad knowledge of policies, procedures and workers compensation.
- Strong influencing skills to drive positive culture change.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred.
- Open to travel is required.
