Our client is a nonprofit organization in Dallas seeking a passionate Chief Administrative Officer to join their team. The CAO will report directly to the CEO and will oversee the organization's day-to-day operations. This proven leader will act as the head of the finance, marketing, human resources, and IT departments, and will execute strategies to deliver results. The focus of this role will be to improve the organization’s overall performance by reviewing processes, developing new policies, managing projects, and enhancing the organization’s reach and impact. The ideal CAO will drive this organization into the future keeping the students in Dallas at the center of all that they do.
Position Summary:
The Chief Administrative Officer will:
- Oversee day-to-day administrative activities and ensure smooth corporate operations
- Set KPIs for the organization's departments and management
- Monitor KPI results and adjust expectations
- Perform manager evaluations
- Attend regular meetings with the C-suite and board of directors
- Foster a healthy and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads
- Facilitate corporate strategic planning
- Review and recommend process improvements
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- A well-developed sense of the student population to be served, built from a broad consideration of internal and external stakeholder input
- Minimum 10 years of extensive administrative and senior leadership experience
- Advanced knowledge of fiscal planning, reporting, and budgeting
- In-depth knowledge of management principles and supervisory practices
- Deep understanding of advancements in public administration and organizational development
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to inform business decisions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Performs additional duties as assigned
