Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in Trenton, New Jersey for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant. The role focuses on performing administrative tasks, maintaining effective communication and demonstrating high levels of organization and time management skills. The workplace is fast-paced and requires adaptability, with the ability to multitask and follow instructions accurately.
Responsibilities
- Conduct resume screening and review to identify potential candidates for various roles within the organization.
- Schedule interviews, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all HR-related documents and data.
- Handle photocopying and scanning of documents as required, ensuring all information is stored securely.
- Perform filing tasks, keeping all HR documents and files in order for easy retrieval.
- Respond to and resolve any inquiries or concerns from employees in a timely manner.
- Monitor employee records and accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Adapt to a fast-paced working environment, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Follow instructions accurately and reliably, demonstrating a high level of attention to details
Requirements
- Proficiency in resume screening and reviewing resumes
- Experience in scheduling interviews
- Familiarity with office tasks such as filing, copying, and photocopying/scanning documents
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of employment law and HR practices
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong administrative and clerical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
