In addition to its role as an investment manager, Fremont serves as the full-service Family Office to the Bechtel family with over 150 employees. WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
The role of the Client HR Associate is to assist in developing and implementing Human Resources programs for approximately 100+ household staff, in seven states. They will directly impact our clients and help provide valuable HR advice to our clients every day.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE ON THIS TEAM
· The Associate will provide support in developing and managing best practices and procedures for all matters such as hiring, onboarding, compensation reviews, leaves, separations, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and background checks.
· As the strategic business partner to our clients, the Associate will help our clients by attracting and retaining top talent. They will also provide guidance and advice on people related matters to ensure our clients maintain positive, equitable and compliant work environments.
YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS
The success of Client HR at Fremont Group relies heavily on interpersonal communication, problem solving, coaching, change management and business acumen. The following outlines the tangible contributions of a successful candidate within the typical life cycle of a Client HR Associate at Fremont Group.
· Advise and consult on all Client Human Resources matters (some delicate/sensitive), from strategy through execution.
· Develop strong and trusted relationships with a sophisticated client base, in addition to the internal Client Services team.
· Maintain flawless execution, ensuring completed work is accurate, timely, and displays thoughtful reasoning and judgment.
· Communicate with senior management about evolving client and employee matters on a timely, regular basis.
· Partner with Department Head to manage full life cycle recruiting for all open positions within assigned client groups.
· Manage employee offboarding process.
· Write and verbally communicate detailed policies, processes and client communication with sophistication and confidence.
· Work with external counsel as needed to determine the best and most practical course of action.
· Interpret and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Remain current with changes in Human Resources and employment law.
· Process and coordinate new hire forms, manage background checks, and assist with onboarding employees.
· Create reports from HR system for recruiting and compensation purposes.
· Work closely with the Client HR team on other assignments/projects as needed.
KEY PROFICIENCIES
· The successful candidate will have a minimum of five to seven years of Human Resources experience as a generalist or Human Resources business partner/relationship manager. They should be a true generalist experienced in supporting and guiding Clients in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation/benefits/payroll, compliance, and HR operations. The candidate must be able to execute strategies in a very detailed manner, in addition to having excellent analytical skills.
· The experience, presence, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, establish credibility and engender trust with multiple clients and all internal organizational levels, including senior management. At the same time, possessing the warmth and emotional intelligence necessary to communicate directly with household employees.
· Strong advisory, influence, and negotiations skills; an ability to work with several distinct cultures.
· A demonstrated track record of being proactive in identifying issues, analyzing solutions, and providing written and/or verbal recommendations with sound reasoning and judgment. The ability and willingness to operate both tactically and strategically, with a hands-on approach and sense of urgency.
· A natural relationship builder who has a strong client service orientation.
· An individual who has high standards, demands excellence, and has a meticulous attention to detail.
· Experience with developing processes that scale as the volume of work increases. Can manage a high volume of unpredictable workflow.
· A demonstrated aptitude to be flexible and deal with ambiguity.
· Experience working closely with Payroll department and understanding payroll processes.
· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, especially policy writing skills.
· Experience with managing employee compensation and compensation processes.
· Experience with full life cycle recruitment and employee onboarding. A high degree of integrity and an ability to be discreet and manage highly confidential matters.
· Experience working with a non-exempt workforce, along with deep knowledge of wage and hour law, California employment law and compliance.
· Strong academic credentials that include a bachelor’s degree.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will join the Client HR team, which is part of a larger ten-person HR department. We are a small and close-knit group, highly collaborative, sharing common and overlapping goals while having distinctive roles and areas of expertise. Our team is highly focused on execution, problem solving and providing expert level advice to our clients. We partner closely with several other departments, including but not limited to Client Services, Client Services Accounting, and Payroll.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Fremont offers highly competitive compensation packages, commensurate with related work experience and education.
