The Senior Human Resources Specialist works closely with other Human Resources professionals and managers to ensure recruitment actions are fair, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements. They conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to ensure that the organization’s staffing and recruitment programs are competitive and align with the company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a range of compensation duties for the supported organization(s). Interpret regulations, policies, and directives, and use good judgment to provide accurate pay setting guidance.
Assist in updating guidance and procedures on a range of compensation issues, flexibilities and authorities. Assist employees, supervisors, and HR personnel regarding employee grievances related to pay and leave issues and entitlements.
Advise management, employees, and union officials (when covered) on work schedules, hours of work requirements, flexibilities and authorities, including alternative work schedules.
Apply a wide variety of Federal recruitment and placement principles, practices, processes, laws, rules, regulations, and procedures to conduct the full range of recruitment and placement actions.?
Participate with higher-grade specialists in recruitment and staffing functions, including preparing vacancy announcements, determining qualifications of applicants, developing certificates, conducting reference checks, ensuring that required clearances are obtained, making employment offers, determining pay, and processing personnel actions
