Our client in Irving, TX (a leader in the home services space), is seeking a VP of HR to lead culture, organizational growth and change. Proudly serving the DFW community since 1966, Tempo, Inc. is a growing employee-owned company comprised of multiple operating units - each working in tandem to offer wholistic home comfort and energy efficiency solutions throughout the US.
This pivotal role is about making connections with team members - motivating and inspiring them to be their best in order to achieve results. The ideal candidate will posses a hands-on servant leadership style, proven executive HR experience with a mid-sized company, exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities company-wide (Board to front-line), and the chops to effectively orchestrate and execute strategic initiatives.
Some of what you'll be doing:
- Developing/implementing strategic HR initiatives to support Tempo's mission and strategy
- Overseeing all HR functions & the HR team
- Serving as Tempo's cultural ambassador
- Managing all employee relations matters in alignment with Tempo's core values
- Identifying KPIs for Tempo's HR functions; assessing Tempo's market competitiveness based on these KPIs
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices nationwide
- Overseeing and ensuring that rewards and benefit programs are comprehensive and aligned with business goals
- Developing and improving recruiting practices, onboarding, and succession planning strategies
- Communicating frequently with executives and departmental stakeholders
Who we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
- SHRM or HRCI certification
- 15+ years of executive leadership experience, including management of HR teams
- Deep experience with compensation and total rewards strongly desired
- Experience with Paycom a plus
- Ability to budget, forecast and interpret a P&L
- Ability to understand, quickly react, and motivate others in a changing organizational climate
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
