This role is focused on overseeing all HR and compliance related duties within our OCD and anxiety specific mental health program. This role will specifically work with the business manager and director assisting and completing all all duties within human resources and compliance matters. The ideal HR/Compliance Specialist would be proactive, self-directed, and driven.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing and coordinating HR duties/tasks for the entire company.
- Oversee and manage all compliance related needs for OCDI Texas (Joint Commission Accredited)
- Provide regulatory status and update the utilization reports.
- Address policy and procedures with direction from management.
- Utilize resources to research various HR topics. Prepare reports and filings per laws.
- Review and update all documentation for personnel and patients.
- Maintain up to date records related to all HR and compliance needs for the company
- Data entry and maintenance of relevant personnel and patient records.
- Assist with developing, delivering, maintaining, and tracking training.
- Provide excellent communication for all parties (Personnel, patients, vendors etc.)
- Assist with planning and executing HR and compliance-led events, meetings, or other related matters.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency for performance or improve the clinical experience.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality about personnel, medical, business, patient, and other sensitive information.
- Coordination of recruitment as designated by management.
- Oversee all employee and student recruitment
- Conduct and oversee all employee and student onboarding
- Collaboration with other departments to ensure job descriptions are regularly updated and posted in appropriate areas.
- Provide support and back up coverage to the admissions department
- Coordination of employee scheduling and PTO management.
- Coordination of payroll needs
- Provide coordination of business operation duties as it relates to vendors or supplies.
- Assist with the management of company insurance and patient insurance-related matters.
- Assist with business operation tasks as directed by the HR manager/ Director.
- Assist with training program development and implementation for the entire facility.
- Performing other HR and compliance or business related duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Understanding of HR processes, best practices and laws for Texas.
- Understanding of facility and Joint Commission compliance needs and ability to oversee all compliance
- Excellent communication skills not limited to speaking and listening.
- Attention to detail.
- Team player with a willingness to be flexible.
- Familiarity with employment recruiting.
- Excellent Computer literacy. MS Office, Adobe acrobat, ERS system, and other HR-related tools proficiency.
- Ability to handle confidential data, documentation, and other related information.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and follow directions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of commonly used HR concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Human Resource Licenses preferred.
- Knowledge and background of mental health and join commission compliance
- Background overseeing all compliance needs
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Good interpersonal skills: ability to communicate and work courteously and effectively with staff and patients.
- Dependability and demonstrated ability to assume responsibility with routine supervision.
- Good understanding of professional ethics and boundaries
- Ability to respond appropriately under stress and in emergency situations.
- Flexibility, good judgment, and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation
