JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, provide supervisory direction to the Human Resources Department function and serve as key advisor to the Management team for planning, organization, development and administration of uniform human resources policies, procedures, and programs. Position requires decision-making in all areas of human resources administration, personnel and fringe benefit management, employee relations, training programs, risk management and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Principles and practices of human resources administration including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, job analysis, benefits administration, labor relations, training, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process and procedure for cost/benefit evaluation and analysis of various human resources programs.
- Qualifications and characteristics of a wide variety of occupations.
- Research techniques and source and availability of information.
- Program budgeting, financial management and short and long range planning concepts and principles.
- Correct English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Use of a computer and related business software.
- Technical record-keeping techniques and requirements.
