Position Summary
In cooperation with the executive team, the Director of Human Resources leads the development, implementation and administration of all human resource functions, including recruitment, compensation packages, training, benefit administration and company-wide employee relations activities.
Location
Position is not remote, must be based from one of the Anura Energy offices in Naperville, Illinois or Broomfield, Colorado.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provides overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development.
- Identifies and executes best practices for recruitment, hiring and talent management. Conducts interviews for all management positions.
- Accountable for employee total compensation programs; including salary, health insurance, retirement, and bonus pay.
- Oversees employee relations, guide conflict resolution, and own performance management policies.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and development.
- Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations across all human resources functions.
- Oversees the implementation, administration and monitoring of all training programs. Instructs relevant training, assigns online courses, evaluates current career paths, and makes recommendations to the management staff for improvement on training programs.
- Coordinate all other pre-selection activities, including drug testing, reference checks, etc. to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of human resources experience, with broad exposure to all related functions.
- Proven experience as a successful leader in a start-up environment preferred.
- Deep knowledge of laws, regulations, benefits administration, and human resources best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Must be a self-starter and enjoy fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency with computer, MS Office and a technical aptitude for data tracking, analysis and reporting.
- SHRM certification or similar is ideal.
