The Human Resources (HR) Assistant performs administrative duties for the HR department. This position supports HR initiatives including data entry, HR system maintenance, and supporting payroll, benefits, and onboarding activities.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to manage the onboarding and termination processes, key employee data changes, and maintain employee files.
- Completes 3rd party requests including wage verifications, employment verifications, etc.
- Manages I-9 and E-Verify process.
- Assists with processing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll.
- Provides property support in the areas of HR policy, payroll issues, benefit questions, etc.
- Assists with employee benefits management, including ensuring timely and accurate employee enrollment.
- Completes day-to-day operations such as, distributing mail and answering incoming calls and emails in a professional manner.
- Assists with departmental projects including open enrollment, etc.
- Assists with planning and coordination of company events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in HR, Business, or related field OR equivalent work experience
- Basic Microsoft Office experience
- Proficient in typing
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
