Description
Our company is seeking an organized, professional individual to join our team as an HR Assistant. The individual will have a key role in the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources function. The HR Assistant will assist the HR Manager and department in organizing and maintaining employee records, managing HR documents, updating internal databases, scheduling appointments, and participating in the hiring processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR department including benefit administration, performance management and HR initiatives.
- Update internal databases (e.g. record of sick or maternity leaves) with new employee information like contact details and employment forms.
- Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts, forms, and instructional guides.
- Schedule job interviews and assist with the recruitment process where necessary.
- Organize, compile, update employees records and documentation.
- Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules).
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars.
- Answer employees’ questions about benefits, company policies, and procedures.
- Administer and monitor new employee onboarding programs.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to monitor all HR issues and functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an HR Assistant, HR Administrative Assistant, or similar role in HR.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS and resume databases.
- Knowledge of labor legislation and employee rights.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
