Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented HR Assistant who will be responsible for managing and filing workers’ compensation claims. The ideal candidate will work closely with employees and managers, guiding them through the workers’ compensation process with care and professionalism. You will ensure accurate and timely filing of claims and help employees understand their rights and available benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and file workers' compensation claims from initial report to resolution.
- Assist employees throughout the workers’ compensation process with empathy and support, ensuring clear communication.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and insurance provider, addressing questions or concerns related to claims.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all workers' compensation claims.
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Track claim status and follow up on outstanding issues, collaborating with the insurance carrier as needed.
- Provide regular updates to managers and HR leadership regarding the status of claims and any potential areas of concern.
- Perform other HR-related duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to employee support.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation regulations and processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in HR, claims management, or a related field is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $19 to $23 per hour, depending on experience
