Position Summary
The Sr. Benefits & HR Specialist supports all functions of the Payroll and HR department. This role provides administrative support as needed, including payroll processing, administration, and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering and organizing timesheets.
- Preparing and processing documentation.
- Monitoring employee attendance and schedules.
- Updating databases.
- Maintaining records of all transactions.
- Formulating payroll-related reports and research.
- Reviewing and analyzing payroll reports for issues, and making needed adjustments.
- Auditing new hire and terminated employee payroll records.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Manages the Payroll inbox answering questions or escalating to the appropriate team member
- Processing of new hires, terminations & employee changes.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to HR & Payroll.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least five years related experience required.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at time.
