Job DescriptionAs the Human Resources Senior Director for Supply Chain, you’ll serve as a business partner to the vice president and other senior leaders. This role will be responsible for embedding human resources strategy, providing professional human resources guidance, and strategic support relevant to the future growth of the business with the objective of adding value across the current and future business. This leader must enjoy a fast-paced muti-facet business with the ability to slow self and others down, to think strategically to then move swiftly.
This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.
What you’ll do
- Accountable for driving decision making and influencing at the executive level including responsibility for hiring, conduct management, and performance management.
- Support senior leaders by providing human resource advice, counsel, and decisions.
- Accountable for the performance & results of the human resource function within supply chain, leading a team of human resource business partners and senior coordinators.
- Apply business acumen and human resource technical expertise to translate strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful initiatives and actions.
- Identify continuous process, policy, and training improvements to create ongoing efficiency within the enterprise.
- In partnership with leader, builds succession plan to support continued growth of leader and business.
Basic qualifications
- Open to travel as business needs (50% of time)
- 10 years of experience in a combination of the following: human resource, employee relations, and/or talent management
- 5 years of people leadership experience
- Proven experience building strong relationships with executives and function as part of senior leaders’ team
- Effectively influence business and/or talent decisions with a broad range of internal clients
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources
- 5 years of experience supporting supply chain/distribution center teams in an HR business partner capacity
- Experience with Workday platform
- Experience leading and supporting hybrid or remote teams
