Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Assistant in New London, Connecticut. As an integral part of our team in the HR industry, you'll be expected to streamline HR functions, such as managing the Applicant Track System, implementing onboarding processes, and maintaining organizational charts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Applicant Track System to ensure streamlined recruitment processes
- Develop and maintain organizational charts to reflect accurate company structure and staffing
- Implement effective onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Act as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries and provide appropriate solutions
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop strategies for improving HR functions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records in compliance with legal requirements
- Assist in the preparation and execution of HR projects as needed
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest HR trends and best practices to ensure the company's HR processes remain current and effective
- Participate in HR audits and implement necessary actions based on the findings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR assistant, staff assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Familiarity with Applicant Track System
- Experience in employee Onboarding, from recruitment to adaptation
- Knowledge of Organizational Charts and their development
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of labor laws
- Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
