In addition, we offer continuous maintenance services, vacuum trucks, trenchless plumbing, environmental remediation, and 24/7 emergency response from a number of carefully chosen locations.
Position Overview: The Vice President of Estimating will be responsible for leading the preconstruction and estimating team, overseeing the development of the initial project cost estimates and bid packages, and ensuring that the teams work meets the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop company-wide preconstruction and estimating strategies, while ensuring that they are in line with the companys mission and goals
- Recruit, hire, and manage personnel for the estimating team
- Develop and manage cost estimates for heavy civil projects
- Lead the development of bid packages and ensure accuracy and compliance with contract requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the bidding and negotiation process
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of all estimates and bids
- Monitor industry costs to ensure accuracy of estimates
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in estimating and preconstruction in the heavy-civil industry
- Expertise in HCSSS/HeavyBid software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
