Description:
The primary purpose of The Staffing Coordinator Supervisor position is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing for our Nursing Department while maintaining the staffing regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will communicate effectively with all staff, ensuring to track Nursing employees’ concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain staff schedules, including nursing, clinical, and support staff, while ensuring proper coverage at all times.
- Ssupervise the staffing Coordinators of the Zahav facilites.
- Respond efficiently to last-minute staffing changes, such as sick calls or emergencies, by finding suitable replacements.
- Ensure that the facility meets the required staffing ratios mandated by local, state, and federal regulations.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience managing scheduling for a large facility.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding scheduling issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure that all staffing-related documentation, such as timecards and attendance records, are accurate and up-to-date.
- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to staffing and scheduling in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, union contracts (if applicable), and company policies related to scheduling and staffing.
- Monitor employee attendance and punctuality, addressing any recurring issues promptly.
- Generate reports on staff attendance, overtime, and other related metrics as required.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement to optimize scheduling efficiency.
- Utilize scheduling software and other tools to create and maintain accurate schedules.
- Train and support staff in using the scheduling software effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in scheduling, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees and management professionally and empathetically.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and error-free scheduling.
- Ability to respond proactively and resourcefully to staffing challenges and unexpected changes.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirements of the facility.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and other tools commonly used in workforce management.
