The HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the BU's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Requirements
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Identify training needs and assist in aligning training programs with business objectives.
- Develop workforce plans and an understanding of external customer trends and issues in the industry that could potentially impact business.
- Manage all administrative tasks related to onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including data entry into HR systems and conducting accuracy and compliance audits.
- Support the administration of compensation, benefits, and employee performance programs.
- Collaborate with operations to address and resolve employee relations issues.
- Investigate and address disputes and disciplinary matters, providing counseling and resolution assistance.
- Handle inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with the timely and constructive evaluation of employee performance as needed.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and best practices; regularly review policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Required Experience & Education
- Must have at least 5-7 years of experience in people management, strategic planning and HR practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
- Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
