The Role You’ll Contribute
In collaboration with the Southwest Region Chief People Officer, the Director Human Resources/Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted and collaborative advisor, providing a proactive, practical, and valued HR perspective in partnership with facility leadership. Serves as the champion of value-added programs provided by HR Shared Services and ensures facility alignment in support of attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent. This individual possesses strong skills in building relationships, diagnosing issues, advising, influencing, and guiding all levels of management on the HR implications of business decisions related to aspects of people-management and leadership. This individual drives and deploys programs and strategies for local talent management, development, compensation, performance management, and workplace rights that facilitate change and optimize the contribution and engagement level of employees. Accountable to organize, lead, implement and evaluate the HR programs for Metroplex. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department, employee activities, and oversight of employee health.

Communication
- Operates as diplomat and negotiator to align the agendas of the business and the HR function
- Serves as a trusted partner, initiating and maintaining effective communication with facility leaders, employees, and HR Shared Services
Organizational And Employee Development
- Assists Organizational Development & Effectiveness (ODE) team in the deployment of solutions through organizational development interventions and support including facilitation, organization design, leadership transitions, and enhanced communication processes
- Assesses organizational capabilities by identifying competency and talent gaps, ensuring coordination with OED for development of human capital resources, and performing talent assessments and succession planning
Organizational Design
- Drives discussion around design options based on knowledge of business needs, organization capability, and creative thinking
- Innovates organization design to address business imperatives and/or dynamic reporting requirements
Talent Acquisition (TA) And Retention
- Consults on recruitment, staffing needs, position and job code changes
- Diagnoses critical talent needs and gaps throughout the facility, partnering with HR Shared Services to develop strategies to address talent needs
Performance Management
- Provides coaching and guidance related to performance management strategy, including feedback on style and behaviors that improve employee productivity and engagement
- Identifies performance-related competency gaps and recommend correction
Operations
- Manages HR employees at the facility as designated
- Oversees the HR processes and ensures alignment with HR Shared Services; evaluates processes to ensure they are relevant, effective and efficient
Minimum Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the management of HR, operating in an HR leadership role within a similar sized healthcare organization
- Minimum 10 years experience as an HR Generalist
- PHR or SPHR Certification or SHRM-CP
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Minimum 3 years HR experience in a hospital setting
- Certification in psychometric assessment tools (i.e. Myers Briggs, DISC, DDI etc.)
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience
