Location: onsite with travel expected within the region (GA, Fla, SC & NC)

Position Summary
The Regional Human Resources Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters, delivering exceptional customer service across multiple locations within the designated region. Collaborating closely with the Regional VP, Branch & Office Managers, HR Director, and HR team members, the Regional HR Manager will work with various departments, other regions, and corporate team members to ensure the effective implementation and application of the company’s HR policies, strategies, and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment process from start to finish, including job postings, interview coordination, and candidate selection.
- Direct HR traffic within the branch, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and directing them to the appropriate resources.
- Conduct employee onboarding sessions to welcome new hires and familiarize them with company policies, procedures, and culture.
- Manage the termination process, ensuring all procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Administer FMLA requests and other leaves of absence, including tracking and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all states in which the company operates.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and best practices.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as benefits, payroll, and leave, and resolve issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Participate in HR projects, such as the implementation of new HR technology or programs.
- Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a multistate company in the construction industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of state-specific employment laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with industry-standard HR practices and labor legislation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office.
- Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is preferred.
- Ability to travel to different branch locations as needed.
