Cole Roofing company, a 100-year-old commercial roofing firm, is seeking a Human Resource Administrator for both Cole Roofing and its related company, Gordian Energy Systems. We are looking for an energetic person to be a full-time HR Administrator. The position will perform administrative HR tasks, work with our people and assist the safety department.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate and timely HR files, records and documents.
- Total commitment to the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Assistance with weekly payroll.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Answer questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring process etc.
- Clerical support of HR manager and safety director.
- Processes workman’s compensation and accident claims; maintenance of safety records and incident reports.
- Administer leave requests and employee attendance.
- Maintain comprehensive list of license, certification and tracks to assure timely renewals.
- Support new hire process including pre-employment process.
- Employment regulatory compliance reporting: E-Verify, New Hire, EEO-1, VETS-100
- Assist with employee special events, recognition, communication.
- Provide regular communications to employees and other functions as required.
Requirements include:
- Three (3) + years performing as an HR Administrator.
- High School degree or more.
- Comfortable working in a construction company environment.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Effective organizational skills demonstrated in previous experience.
- Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations. Must be tactful and professional.
- Strong attention to detail, timely and accurate reporting.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, One Drive, etc.)
- Bilingual, Spanish a plus.
- Bachelor's degree.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
