We are seeking a motivated and versatile HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, including performance management, workers compensation. leaves of absence, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, ability to connect with people, and positively influence change.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, questions, and claims.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and communicate benefits changes.
- Liaise with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
Compliance:
- Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Coordinate compliance training and employee development programs.
Performance Management:
- Support performance review processes and provide coaching to managers and employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual development plans (IDPs).
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Help in employee relations as needed.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Prepare reports and analyze HR metrics to support business decisions.
- Assist with the administration of company policies and procedures.
- Prepare change of status form, job descriptions, promotions planning, etc.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
3-5 years of HR experience in a generalist role preferred
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Speak Spanish.
