Dreamscape Learn, a pioneer in the realm of immersive virtual reality entertainment and learning design, is seeking a highly organized, skillful and resourceful People Partner to help drive people and talent initiatives that bring together our team of exceptional creative, technical and strategic talent and magnify their capabilities to change the future of education. This position will play a vital role in supporting our team throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding, and will use their creative and analytical mindset to partner with the business and develop innovative strategies to unlock efficiencies, drive performance and bolster engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Source and recruit high-performing candidates nationaly, managing the end-to-end recruitment process independently and collaborating with business leaders to define role requirements and implement rigorous selection procedures.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Oversee compliant and best-practice onboarding and offboarding processes for all W2 employees and 1099 independent contractors.
- Performance and Engagement: Administer programs and strategies that foster performance and engagement, including performance management, compensation, talent development, employee feedback, retention efforts, and internal communications.
- Payroll Collaboration: Partner with the Payroll department to support everyday payroll functions, ensuring compliance, managing records, approving time off, processing reimbursements, and updating employee profiles.
- Employee Relations Support: Cultivate positive relationships across the organization by providing support and guidance to employees and managers on complex personnel issues, labor law concerns, and overall workforce engagement.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and address employee complaints and grievances while managing disciplinary actions and performance improvement processes.
- Data Management: Ensure comprehensive and compliant collection and reporting of employee data using Trinet and other internal systems. Generate performance dashboards and regular reports to inform strategic business decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the optimization of People systems, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Legislative Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Policy Communication: Directly communicate with employees regarding People policies and procedures, escalating issues as necessary.
- Record Management: Maintain employee records, generate reports, and manage data entry with the utmost integrity and confidentiality.
- 3-5 years of HR experience in fast-growing companies.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and best practices in People & Talent.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work independently with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Interest in developing analytical skills, with a strong ability to follow and communicate processes, while being detail-oriented and adaptable in problem-solving.
- Demonstrated discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong self-management and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with HRIS is required; familiarity with Trinet is a plus.
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
- Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + bonus (DOE)
