- At least 1 year of experience in HR with a focus on benefits and leave management.
- Some broader domain knowledge and/or training in HR processes and functions is preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus but not required
- Able to learn our HRIS, benefits and talent management systems.
- An excellent communicator with outstanding people skills.
- A team player with a result driven approach.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to self-manage.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Great problem-solving skills and basic understanding of HR procedures and policies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to benefits and leave.
- Ability to embrace change, learn quickly, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of relevant software, tools, and systems used in the corporate environment. This includes a proficiency in standard software applications, including Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Essential Job Requirements (not all-inclusive)
Benefits Administration
- Administer and manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other related benefits.
- Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure smooth enrollment processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation, including reconciling carrier invoices.
- Review and resolve reconciliation discrepancies with invoices, payroll and/or enrollment data.
Leave Management
- Oversee and manage all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other types of leaves.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to leave policies.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave processes and documentation requirements.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop, update, and communicate benefits and leave policies to ensure alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Employee Support
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits and leave policies.
- Assist employees in understanding and maximizing their benefits, providing education and resources as needed.
- Must be flexible for other HR related duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $80,000 annually.
