About the Role:
As an HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic and operational resource for managers and employees, driving initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and compliance. You will support all stages of the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and development, while providing HR expertise and fostering positive work relationships. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring managers and employees and assisting with the recruitment process, including participating in interviews as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommend solutions that drive employee satisfaction and business results.
Mentorship and Development:
- Serve as a mentor to managers and employees, offering guidance to develop leadership capabilities and career growth.
- Partner with managers to identify high-potential talent and create individualized development plans.
- Lead efforts to foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Support onboarding processes to ensure a seamless experience for new hires, including I-9 verification and HRIS setup.
- Support performance management, providing tools and coaching to managers to facilitate employee growth and engagement.
- Support offboarding procedures as needed by conducting exit interviews, managing offboarding processes, and tracking trends to improve retention.
Talent Acquisition Support:
- Assist with interview processes as needed, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring alignment with organizational values.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and the talent acquisition team to identify and attract top talent.
- Offer insights on candidate selection and support the creation of an exceptional candidate experience.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Partner with employees and management to resolve conflicts, foster positive relationships, and drive a culture of excellence.
- Facilitate monthly check-ins with business units to address concerns, gather feedback, and align on goals.
- Lead initiatives to improve morale, increase productivity, and build a sense of belonging.
Policy Development, Compliance, and Best Practice:
- Develop, communicate, and update HR policies to ensure alignment with company values and compliance with federal and state laws.
- Serve as the main source of truth for ever-changing legal requirements related to HR and payroll, ensuring the organization remains compliant. Stay informed on employment laws and regulations across multiple states and ensure policies reflect these complexities.
- Act as a point of contact for HR compliance audits and ensure documentation meets legal and organizational standards.
Payroll and Benefits Management:
- Act as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs during periods of primary payroll staff absence.
- Assist with Open Enrollment, including coordination, communication, and support to employees during the benefits selection process.
- Manage ongoing benefit administration, including troubleshooting employee inquiries and supporting benefit vendor relationships.
Learning and Development:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HR records in HRIS, leveraging data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Prepare reports on key HR metrics to identify trends and support strategic planning.
- Use advanced HR analytics to forecast trends in turnover, employee engagement, and workforce planning needs.
HR Project Management:
- Lead or support HR initiatives, including M&A activities, change management, and special projects.
- Spearhead efforts to enhance HR’s role in employer branding and internal communications.
You Have:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years in an HRBP or HR Generalist role with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- 3 + years experience in small to medium sized Tech or SaaS companies
- 3+ years experience in payroll administration
- 3 years working with an HRIS/HCM (Paylocity experience a plus)
- Ability to work 9am-6pm eastern time.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, federal and state employment laws, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
