The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for creating the best possible experience in the ActiGraph office(s) and for our people. This role is designed to help ensure the efficient operations of all worksites and reduce the administrative task burden on the corporate executive management and People Operations team, while ensuring a positive, functional, and collaborative work environment. This role also performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
The Human Resources Generalist may aid with and facilitate the People Operations processes at other business locations, including US and international locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resources Generalist makes certain that plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role also provides administrative support to the People Operations and Finance functions as needed, including processing payroll, record-keeping, file maintenance, issue resolution and HRIS entry.

The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include:
People Operations Responsibilities:
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Assist with payroll functions.
- Conducts audits of payroll, employee files, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Performs customer service functions by answering external calls/emails, as well as employee requests/tickets and questions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Submits online screenings, including assisting with new-employee background checks, drug screens, etc.
- Assists with processing of new hires and terminations, as well as support onboarding and offboarding as needed.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process. Tracks status of candidates and responds to candidates during the recruiting process as needed.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
- Assists with maintaining People Operations policies and employee handbooks.
- Manage all reward and recognition programs run by People Ops/Human Resources.
- Assist with organizing company/culture-building events (cookouts, parties, celebrations, online activities, etc.) including purchasing and procuring supplies, organizing catering, etc.
- Ensure all policies, processes, programs, tools meet all quality/regulatory/legal standards and expectations.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Support People Ops/Human Resources in any other requested duties.
- Other duties as assigned and needed.

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 4-5 years related experience (including payroll and benefits experience) required.

- SHRM credential preferred.
