Human Resources Assistant (Full-time)

Middleton Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the HR department by assisting with recruitment, payroll processing, onboarding new employees, and managing employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of HR practices, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment:

Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings on various platforms, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings
Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)

Payroll:

Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll
Ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll data
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements

Onboarding:

Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including the preparation of new hire paperwork and orientation materials
Ensure new hires complete all required training and documentation.

Benefits Administration:

Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with enrollment and changes
Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

General HR Support:

Maintain and update employee records in the Employee Navigator (HRIS), Paychex and Google Drive
Assist with the coordination of employee training and development programs
Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Assist with the organization of company events and employee engagement activities
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
1-2 years of experience in an HR support role required
Strong understanding of HR practices and principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Payroll, HRIS and ATS systems preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour

Working Conditions

Full-time position, 40 hours per week
Office environment with standard business hours
