Human Resources Assistant (Full-time)
Middleton Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the HR department by assisting with recruitment, payroll processing, onboarding new employees, and managing employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of HR practices, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings on various platforms, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial screenings
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)
Payroll:
- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of payroll data
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Onboarding:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including the preparation of new hire paperwork and orientation materials
- Ensure new hires complete all required training and documentation.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with enrollment and changes
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
General HR Support:
- Maintain and update employee records in the Employee Navigator (HRIS), Paychex and Google Drive
- Assist with the coordination of employee training and development programs
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
- Assist with the organization of company events and employee engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role required
- Strong understanding of HR practices and principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Payroll, HRIS and ATS systems preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week
- Office environment with standard business hours
