Job Summary

We're looking for a seasoned Human Resources Director with 5+ years of experience to join our team at the University of Austin. As a start-up university, we're committed to fostering a plurality of ideas and treating all individuals with respect. The HR Director will take the lead in stewarding the culture and people of the University of Austin. They will play a primary role in building the HR processes and collaborating with the leadership team to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
Develop and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives, and identify staffing and recruiting needs
Develop and execute best practices for hiring, and manage the talent acquisition process

Qualifications

Innovative and able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
Independent, self-starter who is capable of adapting and working independently
Passionate about the mission of re-establishing higher education and intellectual freedom
Supervisory experience and leadership capabilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
