The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of change. You will plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resource function and performance.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trins new staff in the HR department
Oversees the daily workflow of the department
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Develop initiatives, policies and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization
Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
5+ years' of professional HR experience, ideally from a services-oriented business, with a combination of corporate and business unit line experience preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
Nonprofit, grant funded organization experience (preferred)
Effective communication in verbal and written communication skills to meet the needs of all levels of the organization
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
Experience in education and coaching staff
Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy
Ability to give presentations
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with detail orientations and ability to prioritize
Experience in managing change and change initiatives
