OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
OCT is currently looking for an experienced Recruiter (Jr to Mid Level) to join to join our corporate team. This is a temporary 3-month position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
● Manage the talent acquisition process for proposals and newly awarded contracts, including recruitment, and interviewing
● Collaborate with business development and program management teams to develop position descriptions and recommend research-based salaries for new positions in a variety of career fields
● Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s talent acquisition strategy, particularly current and future talent needs, recruiting, and retention, including talent pipeline management
● Coordinate and manage job postings, advertisement processes, and budgets across internal and external platforms
● Develop innovative recruiting strategies to attract candidates for hard-to-fill positions
● Successfully attract qualified candidates for challenging roles requiring niche skills or experience
● Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies
● Attend and participate in virtual and in-person recruiting fairs in the greater DMV area
● Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
● 1-4 years of experience managing all phases of recruitment focused on the Govcon space
● Experience recruiting for US government clients for professional services companies, including DHS, HHS, DOJ, DOS, HUD, DOT, and others.
● Demonstrable experience recruiting and sourcing cleared candidates for positions that require a Secret and Top Secret clearance
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is highly desired
● SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential or similar is highly desired
● Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
● Experience creating and implementing sourcing strategies for recruitment
● Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
● Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
● Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
● Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office suite of products
● Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software (ATS) or other recruitment systems
Salary: $30-40/hr. based on experience, education, etc.
This is a temporary 3-month position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and business needs. Open to W2 and 1099 arrangements.
