Highland Chateau is currently seeking a
Human Resources/Staffing Coordinator
The ideal candidate will assist with the day to day human resource operations in accordance with current acceptance polices and procedures. Ensuring that all regulations and Labor Laws are followed. Along with ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census and as directed by facility administration.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Maintain filing system, schedule appointments/interviews, coordinate and plan activities and staff meetings.
- Maintain schedules
- Knowledge of and complies with Corporate compliance plan
- Report all complaints and grievances made by residents. Cooperates with any facility surveys
- Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs.
- Coordinate appropriate coverage for "call-outs".
- Designate a licensed nurse to serve as a Charge Nurse/Nurse Supervisor
- Determine a level of sufficient staff.
- Ensure the facility has sufficient staff.
- Ensure hiring/discharge procedures are in compliance with established facility policies and state/federal law.
- Maintain job applications for personnel eligible.
- Onboard and orient new personnel to facility and explain personnel polices and procedures, payroll procedures, etc.
Location: Highland Chateau,
On-Site
Hours: Monday-Friday. Full Time
Education: Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Bachelors in business administation or human resources preferred but not required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be abel to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful dispostion and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle personnel based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
- Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to employment law, wage and hour rules, labor relations, OSHA, etc.
- Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must have ability to act as liaison between personnel and management
- Must be able to communicate personnel policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Preferably has PTA or COTA
- Current Minnesota licensure.
- At least 2 years of LTC experience
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Willing to participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
