Here’s what you’ll be doing
Employee Journey (Beginning to End Support)
- Serve as an ultimate representative and champion of the Cubby culture. Knows our internal operations extensively and serves a key supporting role in the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of all related policies, procedures, and programs that ensure strong internal operations. - Assist with company hiring & onboarding processes including scheduling interviews, developing and maintaining related materials, assisting with training new hires, setting up new accounts, setting up technology and workspaces, etc.
- Coordinate all logistics related to preparing for and administering Biannual Performance Reviews.
Team Communication & Coordination
- Assist with company communications related to People Operations & Office Administration.
- Plan and manage team meetings and events that support and strategically progress our culture, values, and internal operations.
- Advocate for employee needs and expectations while balancing the organizational impact of each employee matter.
Policies & Procedures
- Research, develop, implement, and continually maintain effective People Operations policies and procedures in partnership with the Director of People.
- Continue to iterate on programs, providing support for innovative solutions resulting in greater employee engagement and satisfaction aligned with company goals and values.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOP) for People Operations-related work to ensure consistency, clear understanding, and compliance.
Employee Benefits
- Assist the Director of People with ensuring a competitive total compensation package for Cubby employees by keeping up with comparable market data, product and service offerings available, and pricing aligned with budget.
- Manage benefits administration, including the open enrollment process, and serve as the point person for any benefit-related questions.
Office Management
- Serve as the point person & lead support for all internal systems, including office setup & management, business systems, and related software.
- Manage office utilities, rent, mail, supplies, and snacks.
- Keep the facility clean and welcoming, including the shared kitchen.
- Assist Director of People with IT management - monitoring and supporting all facility systems and technology related to employee hardware and software needs, utilizing third-party resources where necessary.
Here’s what we’re looking for
- 3+ years of relevant experience in People Operations/HR work
- Experience supporting the employee journey, including new hire onboarding and implementing new HR programs
- Experience in event planning, from office meetings to larger offsite retreats (eg: event space bookings, AV setup, catering, team events, etc.)
- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities at once
- Positive attitude, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive situations with care
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with a diverse group of employees, often in sensitive or confidential situations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Enjoys a fast-paced work environment
We hope you also have
- Experience in benefit administration, both working with vendors and serving as point of contact for employee questions
- Experience in facilities/office management
- Proficient with technology and quick to learn new software. Experience with some level of tech support is ideal.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Experience writing company policies & procedures
- Experience in a startup environment
- Experience working with senior management
