SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager enhances WFSDallas’ human resources function by assessing and improving employee relations and human resource-related policies, programs and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions of this position should not be interpreted as all-inclusive. The employee may be required to perform or assume additional job-related responsibilities other than those stated in this job description. Typical duties include:
A. Review Organizational Structure: Review and align organizational structure, as needed, through the evaluation of job requirements and descriptions for all positions in an accurate and timely manner.
B. Review and improve the recruiting, interviewing and hiring system: Reviews and improves the organization’s recruiting. interviewing and hiring, (i) provides advice regarding candidate selection, and (ii) conducts and analyzes both entrance and exit interviews. Ensures job descriptions are up to date and accurately reflect position requirements and responsibilities.
C. Onboarding and off-boarding: Review and improve the comprehensive system for onboarding and offboarding processes. Design and implement employee retention programs.
D. WFSDallas Performance Goals: Provide advice and assist with the maintenance of WFSDallas’ processes to establish and measure performance goals.
E. Employee Performance: Monitors employee performance through review and improvement of the quarterly and annual evaluation process and collaborates with management to address any performance issues proactively.
F. Employee Grievances: Actively involved in investigating/resolving employee grievances and offering advice regarding employee coaching, discipline and counseling, as appropriate.
G. Employee files: Maintains employee files in an efficient, and effective manner in compliance with federal and state requirements.
H. Employee Handbook and Policies. Maintains and updates the employee handbook in consultation with President, Executive staff and legal team, annually or as needed. Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
I. Employee Benefits: Offers advice for employee benefits and related plans and programs.
J. Promote culture of WFSDallas: Promotes the culture of WFSDallas and establishes programs to support and further employee engagement.
K. Compensation review and human resource trends: Researches compensation, benefits and general human resources trends and makes recommendations to Executive management based on findings.
L. Unemployment and worker’s compensation claims. Handles all unemployment and worker’s compensation claims.
M. Oversight of Professional Development. Handles all development, planning and organization of learning opportunities and speakers for employee professional development.
N. Manages employee relations issues; investigates conflicts and brings to resolution.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible to the President. Work is performed under general supervision and guidance. This position may supervise one or more positions as the department develops.
QUALIFICATONS:
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with at least seven years of pertinent experience; HR professional certification credential is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Proven experience as a human resource professional or in a similar role, preferably within a non-profit or community-focused organization with exceptional management and leadership skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Processing; Spreadsheet; E-mail; Internet and Database software.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interface at all levels. Experience developing plans, organizing work and achieving results on schedule and on budget. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

TRAVEL: Due to the nature of the job, travel may be required. Must possess own method of transportation.
