Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler (FT)
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all units are staffed appropriately according to census and acuities in accordance with applicable federal guidelines for staffing.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and implement a sustainable staffing strategy
- Schedule and coordinate with nursing staff to fill in schedule holes for each shift
- Make sure Daily Staffing is in place for Nursing Department.
- Monitor the company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly by ensuring coverage for callouts
- Work with staffing agencies as needed
- Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
- Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
- Assist with new employee orientation
- Design and plan work shift schedules
- Provide assistance with timekeeping for payroll purposes
- Create, present and submit reports to management
Requirements
- 1-year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler or similar role
- At least 1-year long term care facility experience
- Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures and best practices
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
- Reliable with respect to confidentiality.
- Minimum: high school diploma or GED
- Competent with OnShift, Scheduling, Outlook, Chronos, SmartLinks, Eshyft
