Summary
The Human Resource Director will oversee all aspects of the HR department, coordinating closely with the Accounting Department to ensure legal compliance and alignment with the organization's mission and talent strategy. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, retention, development, performance management, exit procedures, policy implementation, benefits, compensation, safety, and employment law compliance.

Essential Duties
- Recruit, train, and oversee HR staff
- Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing strategy
- Develop and implement HR policies and processes
- Manage HR programs including compensation, benefits, and training
- Identify staffing needs and execute talent management strategies based on principles of equity and inclusion
- Analyze organizational trends and HR metrics
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Stay updated on HR trends and technologies
- Manage departmental budget
- Facilitate professional development for HR staff
- Partner with supervisors on compliance requirements
- Maintain employee files and handbook
- Handle unemployment claims and workers' compensation
- Stay informed through education and professional networks
- Perform additional duties as needed
Job Requirements And Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in human resources
- Proficiency in various HR areas such as compensation, organizational analysis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal/state employment laws
- Familiarity with and ability to quickly integrate HR programs, policies, and procedures, including local, state, and federal employment laws and softwares (e.g. Paycor)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent phone and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required
- Must be able to work in a team environment independently with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace
- Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent service
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality, display discretion and protect privacy of information
Position Information:
- This is an approximately 40-hour, five day per week position.
