Job Description
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the firm’s human capital. This individual will oversee a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and performance management.
Responsibilities: - Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Advise on employee relations policies and procedures.
- Leaves Management:
- Oversee the administration of all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and personal time off.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws.
- Process leave requests and manage return-to-work procedures.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage the firm's benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and disability insurance.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and benefits communication.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits laws.
- Talent Acquisition:
- Recruit and hire top-tier talent for the firm.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications.
- Performance Management:
- Implement and manage the firm's performance review process.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to employees.
- Address performance issues in a timely and effective manner.
- HR Policy Development:
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws.
- HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate employee records and data.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a human resources management role, preferably in a law firm,
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with attorney recruiting and onboarding.
- Certification in Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP, PHR).
