Summary
The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional support staff. Additionally, the Staffing Coordinator will maintain an accurate schedule of licensed providers and their corresponding work schedule(s) to ensure equitable system-wide coverage.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nursing department staff and licensed providers.
- Works with human resources and department leaders to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.
- Interprets human resource policies for department staff in collaboration with human resources.
- Participates in in-service training.
- Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
- Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action.
- Assists in administering staffing policies & procedures for the department and organization.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience
- High school education or GED equivalent required with college-level training preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
- 2 years’ Experience in a staffing coordination role in a hospital, clinic, or other healthcare setting is desired.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong typing and mathematics skills.
- Versed in interview techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft system, SharePoint as well as SmartSheets.
- Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the department and organization
