The Human Resources Intern will provide vital support to the Human Resources department by learning and assisting with a variety of administrative and operational tasks relating to the field of Human Resources. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple Human Resources related functions including recruitment, employee engagement, event planning, and general Human Resources administration practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receives hands-on training to support the recruitment process by assisting with job postings, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and coordinating feedback.
- Assists in Human Resources administration tasks relating to HR documentation, updating personnel files, and assisting with HRIS system maintenance.
- Assists in planning and coordinating employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance company culture.
- Participates in the organization and execution of company events, including employee recognition programs and team-building activities.
- Supports the Human Resources team with employee onboarding and offboarding process to ensure smooth integration and transition of employees.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local and federal employment regulations.
- Supports employee relations activities, including employee performance and succession tactics and applies learned knowledge to enhance employee satisfaction results.
- Assists in various HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR team.
- Supports other related Human resources duties as training continues.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
- Previous internship or work experience in an office environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR-related software is an advantage, but not a must.
